Last chance to come with us to Berlin this November. Four nights from 29th Nov to Dec 3rd approx 435 euros, single room 520 euros.
Three star city centre hotel on Bed/breakfast basis.
Private coach transfer to and from the airport.
City sightseeing bus service has offered a group pass at 15 euros (this would be an extra cost) which can be used at anytime and includes an English commentary.
I am looking to book the flights at the end of March so a deposit of 150 euros per person is required to cover these costs.
If interested please email on email@example.com
with your name and telephone no.
COCENTAINA MEDIEVAL/CRAFT MARKET -
THURSDAY 1ST NOVEMBER
We are planning a coach trip to the Medieval/Craft Market in Cocentaina on Thursday 1st November.
The town is just north of Alcoy about an hour and a half drive from Torrevieja, situated between the Serra de Mariola National Park and the Serpis River.
The market has been held annually since 1346 and now boasts around 700 stalls. Once there you are free to wander at your leisure and you have the choice of taking your own food or eating at one of the food stalls, bars.
This trip has been so successful, it is now fully booked I am afraid. So we have booked our own coach transport which will leave the CMO building in Torrevieja.
One pick up...one drop off.
If you wish to go on our waiting list, please send an email to -
We will be taking final payments at the Group Fair, Monday 24th September.
Fancy visiting theatres, watching plays, shows, opera, concerts.
From time to time cost dependant we shall try and arrange visits.
email me with your interest and I can formulate a plan -
Guidelines for members participating in organised trips
Details of trips will be advertised on the website and at general and appropriate group meetings.
To register an interest in a trip a member should attend the monthly or group meeting, or e-mail the Travel Coordinator or organiser of the trip.
At the time of booking it will be necessary to pay a deposit, or in the case of a day trip the total cost.
Details of how to pay any balance will be provided at the time of booking.
Bookings are taken on a first come basis. When full, a waiting list will be created.
Should a member need to cancel a trip please contact the Travel Coordinator or organiser as soon as possible.
Refund policy -
4.1 In the case of cancellation by a participant the association has a general policy of returning deposits and payments made, provided that such refunds do not, in any way, have a negative effect upon the association, any member or other person taking part in the trip in question.
4.2 In the case of cancellation of the trip by the organiser a full refund will be given
4.3 Any refunds will be calculated by the treasurer and will normally be made after the completion of a trip.
4.4 The treasurer will advise the travel co-ordinator of the refunds to be made. He/she in turn will advise participants of any such refunds. The treasurer, the travel co-ordinator or the committee cannot in any way be held responsible if such notification cannot be affected for whatever reason.
4.5 Any refund available must be collected at one of the three monthly meetings following the date of notification.
4.6 The refund will be rounded down to the nearest Euro and the minimum refund given will be €2, or an amount agreed by the committee from time to time.
4.7 A person entitled to receive a refund and unable to collect it within the specified time may authorise another person to collect on their behalf.
4.8 Any refunds not collected in the specified time under 4.5 above will be forfeited and added to general funds, unless special arrangements have been made with the treasurer.
4.9 On the rare occasion, where someone has paid a deposit or full amount of a trip to be booked with a tour operator, and has to cancel prior to the actual booking having been made with the tour operator, a full refund can be given immediately on notification to the travel organiser and treasurer. When participating in overnight trips members must carry their EHIC health card and/or medical cards, together with their passport. When participating in trips out of Spain members will be asked to complete a booking form. Members participate in trips at their own risk and are responsible for arranging appropriate insurance cover. Members are reminded that by signing their membership form they have indemnified the U3A Committee, organisers and members against any claims for loss or injury howsoever caused.
It should be noted that the Travel Coordinator and/or organiser do not return phone calls, please call again. The Travel Coordinator and/or organiser will be available at the monthly meeting to collect any monies for trips.
DISCLAIMER: At times it may be necessary for Torrevieja U3A to make deposits with travel agents/airlines/hotels/coach companies etc. for future travel. Whilst no problems are anticipated, in the event that the aforementioned becomes bankrupt, Torrevieja U3A would not be in a position to refund any losses that might occur. Members are strongly recommended to ensure that their own personal travel insurance provides cover for any such losses. In the event of a dispute the matter will be referred to the Committee by the Travel Coordinator. The Committee’s decision is final.
Members are reminded that the Travel Coordinator and all organisers are volunteers
and we would request that they be treated with courtesy and respect at all times.
